INPI publishes Public Consultation to review patent processing deadline
The INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) released, last Friday, the 24th, a report with the contributions obtained in the Public Subsidy Collection for possible regulatory review of the procedures and deadlines for requesting the technical examination and for making amendments to requests patent. The objective is to reduce the processing and decision time for patent applications. The procedures are described in articles 32 and 33 of Law 9,279/1996 – Industrial Property Law (LPI).
The report contains relevant contributions from the ABPI Patent Studies Committee, with the aim of streamlining the patent granting process in the country.
